Upgrade your POTS for immediate monthly savings

Cellular service for elevators is a reliable and secure way to provide communication to and from your elevator car. Cellular service typically provides a more reliable connection than landline or VoIP service, as it is not affected by power outages or other issues that can disrupt VoIP connections or traditional telephone service. This would require you to upgrade your POTS Line. BEC Communications replaces POTS in Orange County, LA County and San Diego.

Is this the right service for you?

A trend in the communications space is the elimination of analog telephone lines, or plain old telephone service (POTS).

If you are currently paying for elevator phone lines that run on copper analog wires, you’re paying too much! The FCC and most major phone carriers are no longer incentivized to service plain old telephone service (POTS) lines. Why pay a premium price for outdated technology when you can install a cellular elevator phone line that is less expensive to maintain and more reliable than your existing landline service.

What's a POTS Line?
POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) lines use traditional analog phone services with old-fashioned copper wires to generate power and connectivity to the telephone service provider’s central switching system. While still effective, it is considered a more dated means to an end

Does an Elevator need a dedicated cellular phone line?

According to the elevator code ASME 2.27.1.1.4 emergency personnel within the building need to be able to establish communications to each car individually.
